The April 19th Car Accident

"In the morning of April 19, 2007 at approximatedly 12:20 AM (Korean time), after coming home from a Kiss the Radio program, four members of Super Junior, Leeteuk, Shindong, Eunhyuk, Kyuhyun, and two managers were involved in a car accident when the driver of the vehicle believed that one of the tires was deflated and attempted to change lanes, but lost control of the car. The van ran into the guard rail/medium on the driver's side and skidded for about 30M+. At some point, the momentum caused the van to flip over on its right side.

Kyuhyun was sitting behind the driver's seat, therefore he was the most injured out of all the members. He had a fractured hip, broken ribs, and facial scratches/bruises. The fractured hip was bleeding and his broken ribs had come down on his lungs. He was slipping in and out of consciousness, and couldn't really speak because of the shock. Kyuhyun had been in the ICU ever since the the night of the accident, but on April 24, 2007 at 6:40 PM, after only six days, Kyuhyun was moved to a regular hospital room according to his doctor's decision. Kyuhyun also did not need the respiratory machine anymore to support his breathing. Kyuhyun was discharged on July 5, 2007 after 78 days.




Shindong was the least injured out of the members, and managed to leave the accident with just cuts and bruises on his face and body.






While Leeteuk had an operation regarding glass shards that were in his back, the operation was successful in removing them all. He also had a scratch near his eye and various cuts and bruises. When they found out how serious his injuries were, they had a plastic surgeon stitch him up. He got a total of 170 stitches on his face and his back. They're trying to avoid leaving any scars, but Leeteuk might have to have more surgeries later on to remove scars.


Eunhyuk was also reported with having glass shards in his back, and was said to have stitches. Both Shindong and Eunhyuk were discharged in the morning of April 23, 2007.





Regarding schedules, all activities involving these four members have been canceled.
Police reports said that the driver blamed the accident on a flat tire, but investigations showed that the tire was fine and in actuality the driver had been speeding.

Both Leeteuk and Kyuhyun recovered quicker than the doctor initially expected. Leeteuk was discharged from the hospital on April 30. 2007 (3 PM, Korean time) but did not resume his schedule until after 33 days of recovery. Kyuhyun's family and friends were shocked to find out that he is recovering so quickly that his doctor even stated that he would not require any new operations for the time being. And after 78 days since the accident, Kyuhyun has been discharged on July 5, 2007 but will not resume to his schedule for a few weeks."

It seems everything is ok now *sight* I'm really scared of car speed v_v when I go with my friends and if they start speeding I became scared and ask for them to slow down and they start laughting >_< man!! what can I do?? I hear on the news so many car speed accidents I'm just trying to prevent any accident XS

Fan suicide

"After a weight loss from 87 kg to 47 kg in three months, seventeen-year-old Lee Eun Ji was granted the honor to appear on an episode of SBS's Star King, a Korean variety show. After the program aired, the audience of Star King and netizens began to criticize Lee's unhealthy way of dieting. Her classmates also begun to spread rumors of her at school and she received many negative remarks over the internet, criticizing on her looks and weight loss. When a picture of Lee with a certain "S group member" surfaced on the web, Lee became a more popular topic of bashing online. After it was revealed that the "S group member" was Kang-In of Super Junior, members from the official Super Junior fanclub, E.L.F., began to insult her frequently. There were also reports claiming that her schoolmates became less friendly to her after her picture with Kang-In surfaced on the web, along with the previous rumors spread by her classmates.

Due to severe trauma brought about by Super Junior fans, Lee commited suicide on June 5, 2007. On a note written to her parents the night before she took her life, she stated,
“ I’m sad to have been scolded. Father and mother, I’m sorry for having worried you. I’m sorry for having given you pain. ”

However, it is still disputed whether or not Lee's suicide was really because of the bashing by Super Junior fans, or because of post-weight loss depression. According to Lee’s mother, she scolded Lee the evening before her death for not eating to lose more weight."


Cyber attack

"On July 30, 2007, during an episode of School of Rock, Leeteuk said that Korean figure-skater Kim Yeon Ah refused his cyworld invitation. After the program aired, Super Junior fans posted over 7,000 comments on Kim's cyworld daily. Kim's fans counter-attacked Leeteuk's cyworld. However, Kim publicly clarified that she has never refused such an invitation. Ultimately, Leeteuk had to post an official apology for the incident to have ever occurred. Leeteuk explained that he wanted to make an interesting topic for the television program and did not expect such a bad consequence. He apologized for his false story.

On August 9, 2007, a hearing was held to discuss about the incident. According to the various articles, the panel discussed that it is hard to know whether a guest on a show is telling the truth or not, since Leeteuk did not say it during a live broadcast. Since the show did not verify the story before it was aired, the show has to take responsibility for the incident to have occurred. A final decision will not be made until further discussion after August 21, 2007. However, the charges will not be pressed against Leeteuk."

What is this??? such a lie?? "wanted to make an interesting topic for the television program and did not expect such a bad consequence" really what he have in his head? if you ask me, I don't think that is anything interesting... oh well such a little thing caused a lot of damage. v_v
